Plasmas Make Noise!

Aurora
Jupiter's aurora up close (NASA)

When particles with an electric charge (like those in plasma) move around, they create electromagnetic waves. These range from radio waves to X-rays.

Plasma waves can be turned into an audio signal you can hear, just as a radio turns radio waves into sound waves.
