            | A coronagraph
of the sun, taken by the LASCO C2 coronagraph onboard the SOHO
spacecraft. This instrument creates an articificial eclipse by blocking
out the disk of the sun. This allows the much fainter solar corona
can be seen. The white circle inside the white circle at the center
of the image represents the size of the solar disk. Courtesy of

cooperation between ESA and NASA. |
